You acknowledge that AI outputs carry inherent margins of error. Always verify medicine names, dosage strengths, and dosing schedules directly with a registered pharmacist before taking any medication.

3. Acute Medical Emergencies

DO NOT USE MEDIMATCH AI IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS. If you or someone in your care experiences severe chest pain, shortness of breath, acute poisoning, severe allergic reactions, or life-threatening symptoms, call national emergency numbers immediately (112 or 108 in India) or visit the nearest hospital emergency department.

4. Acceptable Use & Prohibitions

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any illegal purpose or to obtain controlled/restricted substances unlawfully.
  • Scrape, spider, crawl, or harvest platform content or medicine monographs using automated bots.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble our serverless AI routes or underlying algorithms.
  • Circumvent rate limits, Cloudflare Turnstile protections, or security mechanisms.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

All software code, visual designs, trademarks, trade dress, and proprietary data structures are the exclusive intellectual property of MediMatch AI. Indian Pharmacopoeia drug monographs and PMBJP Jan Aushadhi generic pricing indices are referenced under educational fair-use principles.

Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacopoeia Governance & Patient Medication Safety Reference (Terms of Service & Clinical Medical Disclaimer)

Medication non-adherence, Look-Alike Sound-Alike (LASA) brand confusion, cursive prescription abbreviations, and unrecognized Cytochrome P450 drug-food interactions represent primary drivers of preventable adverse drug events (ADEs) in outpatient clinical practice across India and worldwide. MediMatch AI provides a deterministic, multi-tier clinical verification engine grounded in the Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP), National Formulary of India (NFI), Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) schedules, WHO Model List of Essential Medicines (EML), and Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) bioequivalence registries.

1. Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) & INN Standardization

Every licensed medication is defined by its International Non-proprietary Name (INN) and official pharmacopoeia monograph rather than its commercial trade label. Whether a physician prescribes a single-salt antipyretic (such as Paracetamol 650mg IP), a beta-lactam + beta-lactamase inhibitor combination (Amoxicillin Trihydrate 500mg + Potassium Clavulanate 125mg), or a sustained-release gastro-resistant proton pump inhibitor (Pantoprazole Sodium 40mg + Domperidone 30mg SR), clinical efficacy and plasma half-life are governed by the active salt concentration and release matrix. MediMatch AI resolves every query to its canonical INN/IP salt composition before evaluating contraindications or generic substitution options.

2. Zero-Guessing OCR & Per-Field Confidence Scoring

Handwritten prescriptions frequently contain ambiguous character strokes or abbreviated dosage forms. Under our mandatory Prescription Reading Safety Standard, MediMatch AI never guesses or fabricates unreadable medication names, strengths, or durations. Each extracted prescription attribute—drug name, dosage strength (mg/mcg/IU/mL), pharmaceutical form, dosing frequency, and treatment duration—is scored independently. Any low-confidence field is explicitly flagged as NEEDS_REVIEW or ILLEGIBLE - MANUAL ENTRY REQUIRED, and every candidate drug must match a verified Indian Pharmacopoeia formulary record prior to presentation.

3. ISMP Error-Prone Abbreviations & LASA Drug Disambiguation

In alignment with Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) directives, MediMatch AI automatically normalizes error-prone medical shorthand: bare "U" is always expanded to "units" (preventing 10-fold insulin overdose from misreading "U" as a zero), trailing zeros ("1.0 mg" → "1 mg") are stripped, leading zeros (".5 mg" → "0.5 mg") are enforced, and Latin Sig codes (OD, BD/BID, TDS/TID, QID, AC, PC, HS, SOS/PRN) are translated into explicit meal-synchronized schedules. Post-reading Look-Alike Sound-Alike (LASA) validation screens confused pairs such as Metformin vs. Metronidazole and Escitalopram (10mg) vs. Citalopram (20mg).

4. PMBJP Jan Aushadhi Bioequivalence & NABL Quality Assurance

Generic medicines supplied through Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) Kendras are manufactured in WHO-GMP certified facilities and subjected to mandatory batch testing at NABL-accredited laboratories for assay purity, dissolution profile, and pharmacokinetic bioequivalence (80%–125% AUC and Cmax confidence intervals relative to the reference innovator brand). By comparing branded MRP against verified PMBJP generic pricing, patients managing chronic hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders, and dyslipidemia can reduce out-of-pocket expenditure by 50% to 95% under physician supervision.

5. Cytochrome P450 Food Contraindications & High-Alert Safeguards

Dietary components can profoundly alter gastrointestinal absorption and hepatic metabolism. Calcium-rich dairy products chelate fluoroquinolone (Ciprofloxacin, Norfloxacin) and tetracycline (Doxycycline) antibiotics in the gut lumen, reducing systemic bioavailability by up to 70%. Grapefruit furanocoumarins inhibit intestinal CYP3A4, elevating plasma concentrations of Atorvastatin, Simvastatin, and Amlodipine. Alcohol co-ingestion with Paracetamol accelerates hepatotoxic NAPQI metabolite formation via CYP2E1, while alcohol with Metronidazole or Cefoperazone precipitates acute disulfiram-like reactions. High-alert medications (insulins, oral anticoagulants, opioids, chemotherapy, concentrated electrolytes, and pediatric doses) always trigger mandatory human pharmacist verification warnings.

6. DPDP Act 2023 Local-First Privacy & Editorial Governance

MediMatch AI aligns with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 and local-first privacy principles. Uploaded prescription images, tablet photos, and blood test reports are processed transiently and processed transiently via encrypted HTTPS AI inference APIs without a persistent MediMatch cloud image database, while your scan history remains on your device. All medical content is reviewed by the MediMatch Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacopoeia Review Board with a clear separation between educational content and display advertising. For privacy inquiries or feedback, contact our support desk at support@medimatchai.in.

7. NABL & ICMR Clinical Pathology Biomarker Reference Standards

Diagnostic blood and urine panels—including Complete Blood Count (CBC) with differential, Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c), Lipid Profile (LDL-C, HDL-C, Triglycerides, ApoB), Hepatic Function Tests (ALT/SGPT, AST/SGOT, Alkaline Phosphatase, Direct/Indirect Bilirubin), Renal Clearance Panels (Serum Creatinine, eGFR via CKD-EPI equation, Blood Urea Nitrogen, Uric Acid), and Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH, Free T3, Free T4)—must always be interpreted alongside age-, sex-, and pregnancy-adjusted reference intervals established by NABL-accredited laboratories and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) consensus guidelines. MediMatch AI contextualizes borderline versus critical panic values so patients can prepare informed questions for their consulting physician.

8. Pediatric Weight-Based Dosing, Geriatric Polypharmacy & Renal Titration

Medication safety requires heightened vigilance in vulnerable populations. Pediatric liquid suspensions (such as Paracetamol 120mg/5mL vs. 250mg/5mL drops/syrups or Amoxicillin reconstituted oral suspensions) must be calculated strictly in mg/kg/day using calibrated oral syringes rather than household teaspoons to prevent accidental hepatotoxicity or sub-therapeutic underdosing. In geriatric patients (aged 65+ years) managing multimorbidity, polypharmacy regimens must be evaluated against the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) Beers Criteria and Cockcroft-Gault creatinine clearance (CrCl) thresholds to avoid anticholinergic delirium, orthostatic hypotension, NSAID-induced acute kidney injury, and sulfonylurea hypoglycemia.
